RL with Arcee

Zel had been expecting trouble with the guards, but they seemed to accept the explanation that he was Arcee's friend from another dimension.  He wasn't sure he wanted to think about what that meant for daily life around here.

It struck him that he didn't really have the best idea of what Arcee would look like, so he'd resorted to asking a few guards for directions.  Drastic measures indeed.

"Oof!" Zel staggered slightly. "Hi, Arcee."

Zel smiled slightly. "Thanks for inviting me, Arcee."

"Glad to see you, too. Are you alright? Other than being human, I mean?"

He'd been endeavoring to forget about that, but he supposed he really shouldn't.

"Did anybody actually try to stop you from cooking?"

He glanced up at the egg on the ceiling. "Did it occur to you to go find someone who could cook to help?"

He raised an eyebrow sardonically. "And yet you managed to set the kitchen on fire and get... whatever that is on the ceiling."

Zel sighed. "Have you seriously been drunk this entire time?"

Well, that was something, at least. "I have to wonder about you sometimes, Arcee."

He sighed. "Never mind, it's not important. So, how are you coping with being human, besides drinking and blowing up the kitchen?"

He put a hand on her shoulder. He wasn't the best in the world at comforting people, but for Arcee he'd at least try. "With any luck you won't be like this long enough to get used to it."

"Try going from organic to stone sometime," Zel sighed.

He nodded slowly, squeezing her shoulder.

He smiled slightly. "Right."

Such interesting noises he makes when you squeeze him. "Um, Arcee? Could you be happy for me without crushing my ribs?"

"It's alright. Don't know your own strength, hm?" He managed a rather weak grin.

Zel raised an eyebrow. "Really?"

"Why did... on second thought, Ares doesn't really need a reason to beat people up, does he?"

Zel rubbed his forehead. "... Had Blackout had a head injury lately? Or processor problems or whatever Cybertronians have? What in the world made him think it was a good idea to challenge a god?"

He shook his head. "I'm fine, thanks. So he does things like this a lot?"

Zel nodded. "Ah. I've known people like that. You alright?"

"I mean just now. It sounded like you were having problems in there."

He shook his head. "Honestly, Arcee. How much did you drink?"

Zel's eyes widened. "You have got to be kidding me."

"It's a little extreme, yes. Are you feeling alright, apart from the obvious?"

Zel shook his head. "Well, if you're sure you're alright... How you have tolerance like that when you're not even usually human I don't know."
